If you're praying for Gwyneth...

Last night she was placed back on the ventilator and on IV antibiotics because she has developed pneumonia.

We were told that life in the NICU would be two steps forward and one step back, and frankly, Gwyneth has experienced little in the realm of setbacks. So please lift her and her parents up today in prayer. She's a fighter!

I'm sure Nathan will update on his blog soon.

Just read Nate's post, and am praying. My "Grandma heart" goes out to you and Gail, and Tricia's parents. Gwyneth is, indeed, a fighter...and a mighty cute one at that! Hopefully this will just be a little hiccup, and she will soon be back on track.

Praying...

You don't know me personally, I am a sister of yours, in Christ, that is! I've been a faithful partner in prayer for your family for a while now. I had a quick question or point to ponder for you, totally unrelated to your post about the baby...and wanted a little bit of feedback from you, being a pastor and all.

I've been told it was custom (Jewish possibly??) that when a servant served a meal to his master and the master completed it, the master would either crumple his napkin and leave it at the table to signify that he was finished or he would fold it to signify that he was coming back or returning to the table to finish. If you remember in the tomb, at Jesus' resurrection, the linens were carefully folded where Jesus lay. Many say that this is symbolic...that he is, in fact, returning. I've often read that passage and wondered why that detail was in there...I know that everything in the Bible has a purpose and a meaning. Have you any thoughts on this or have you heard this before? That would be an awesome illustration to use with someone not totally convinced of the promised return of Christ. Have a blessed day...& know that I pray for your family!

I found your son and daughter in law's blogs by accident. What a blessed family you have. My husband and I are praying for you all, and adding baby Gwyneth to our prayerfamily list. God Bless you all for what and who you are.
