Homecoming News

If all goes well Gwyneth, Tricia and Nathan will be traveling home to Dare County mid-week next week!

Since they gave up the house they were renting when they moved to Durham in September, they will be moving in with Gail and I until they can find a place of their own. They have some pretty specific needs in a house due to Tricia's diminished immune system and her susceptibility to lung infections - things like no carpet and an air filtration system. So we're trusting God to help them find the right place.

In the meantime, I guess I'll be scrambling to get our house ready. Gail picked the right time to have that arm in a sling! Sarah's old room will have to get a new coat of paint. That blue just won't work for my granddaughter.

The demon cat will learn to live outside all the time - which is a good thing.

All good news and the culmination of a long strenuous but miraculous year so far.

(Today's OuterBanks Sentinel ran a nice article.)

I haven't commented in a while in order to give room to those who don't have daily access to the details of the Lawrenson story. But, I can't help myself today! Hallelujah, Praise God, Yippee and all those sounds of joy! The Outer Banks has never seen the likes of this church homecoming! I wouldn't miss it for anything.

I remember putting that blue paint on the walls! I also remember being bitten in the night by that kitty...

I am so excited! :)

Think blogger just ate my comment...so if this is a duplicate, I apologize! I can tell your heart is just breaking that you will have to have those three around 24/7 for awhile! :) So sad! :) I'm guessing this will be the most fun you have ever had painting a room! Wish I could be a little fly on the wall to watch the celebration when they roll into the church parking lot for the first time! Bet Nate already has the songs picked out for the band that day! :)

I read the news on Nate's blog this morning and have been going round all day singing "God is so good!"

I'm going on holiday and will only have sporadic Internet access for the next fortnight, and will enjoy catching up when I get back.

That is wonderful news. I am so excited they will be back.

When we moved to the beach our two indoor cats had to become outdoor cats and they have adjusted nicely.

I can't wait to we can see Gwyneth in person. It will be a grand homecoming!

Put the cat in a box and mail him to Fla. to live with his momma. Oh wait, he might confuse their dog for a rat. Scratch that idea. (I'm so punny)

Be glad to help you paint, ifn you don't mind a Harley in your driveway.

Praise be to GOD. He is good.

Terry and I did some painting today. Lots of conversation about food for some reason.

I enjoyed it too Andy, I was late, (4:30ish getting back from my Doctors appt.) I called Rick for an update and to see if I need to come back Monday for more painting, or food conversation. You guys can update me on Sunday.

Thanks to Andy and Terry for getting the room painted! It looks great. Gwyneth will be pleased.

Rick & Gail,

I'm excited for you to have the kids home with you for a while. What a journey! You all deserve a long vacation! Hope Gail's arm is healing nicely by now.

@katie lamont

I noticed that you and sarah put some blue paint where you shouldn't have. Im sure though that your painting skills have improved.
