I have to admit, I love this movie and watch it every Christmas.
My favorite scene? The one where the kid is dared to stick his tongue on the frozen flag pole and he's stuck there. I love it. A close second is the final scene in the Chinese restaurant and "Deck the Halls".
What's your favorite part of the movie?

when the Bumpasses dogs eat the turkey and whrn his wife tells him he will get worms from eating the turkey early. love how TBS runs it for 24 hours on christmas eve
My favorite scene is when Ralphie beats up the bully.
I also love Ralphie's dad's reaction when the lamp is taken out of the crate. And mom's reaction to it, too.
I like when they get all bundled up to go out and the little brother whines "I can't put my arms down!"
I love it when the little brother falls over in the snow and can't get up due to the bundling.
and the lamp scene.
I love the bunny outfit. Poor Ralphie!!
So many great scenes. But I love the one where Ralphie gets booted down the slide by Santa.
the pink bunny suit is just hilarious. My sister told us about this a few years ago, hadn't heard of it before that, not sure how. We now own a copy of it so we can watch it any time.

I love when Ralphie goes out with his Red Ryder BB Gun to shoot all the criminals trying to take over his house and ends up getting hit by the icicle. And then he breaks his glasses. That's a big bummer.
My second choice would be when he has the "flash-forward" to being blind because of the soap and he walks with the cane and holds a tin cup for coins.
Mine is definitely the "Deck The Halls" singing at the Chinese restaurant. Ask T what happened to his hair when I was cutting it a year or so ago and I was thinking about that scene in the movie.
Bookworm,
Ralphie told his mom an icicle hit him, but actually the bb ricoched back and hit him in the face, knocking off his glasses. Then he stepped on the glasses and broke them.
Mom was right all along. If it wasn't for his glasses he would have shot his eye out.
Let's see. Too many "favorites" to mention.
Soap in the mouth.
"I can't put my arms down."
"Show mommy how the little piggies eat!"
Leg lamp box that reads FRAGILE. "Fra - jee - lay."
Bunny suit.
I watch it several times over the holidays, especially when I am up late on Christmas Eve when they roll the 24-hour marathon on TBS. I just let it play over and over until I finally head off to bed on Christmas Eve.
Oh yeah. The "little piggies eat" scene. Love that one, too. It's dad's look over the paper that cracks me up.
The far-rah-rah-rah-rah singing of Deck the Halls is a classic! And "I can't put my arms down!" Mom's response: "You can put them down when you get to school!"
