How many of you are there?

Here's a fun site. It tells you how many people in the US have your name. It also tells you where your name ranks in popularity.

My name is the 8th most popular first name in the country. And of 2,595,183 who share it, 99.77% are males. Who would name their daughter Richard?

So where does your name stand? And are there others with your same first and last names?

My guess is that the data base that runs this thing is going by birth certificates, not nick names.

Sarah put in Lawrenson and it says no one in the U.S. has that name.

There are zero Burnie Staples in the US! Where'd he go??? He told me he was going to Baltimore tonight to see the Red Sox play.

No one in the US has my exact first name and last name combination - nor my first name and my maiden name, either!

Don't know whether there are any other people in the UK, or whether I am unique.... which, of course, in God's eyes, I am!

"I have called you by name; you are mine!"

My maiden name showed no one in the US has that name...
Several members of my family actually worked for the Census Bureau including me. I guess we never really existed!
hmmmmmmm.

Rox,
Try Burnie's first name. My guess is that the data base that runs this thing is going by birth certificates, not nick names.

First name: 610th most popular
Maiden name: 22 share that name
Married name: 5 share that name

And, no, those who don't know me, my name is not really Apple...that WOULD be interesting.

For all the people who say that they don't exist/their name doesn't exist- there's a note on the site that says that "For privacy reasons, names with relatively few responses were not included in the list." Also the following statistic: "Around 1 out of every 10 people will have a last name not on the list. Around 1 out of every 10 people will have a first name not on the list."

So when a name doesn't come up- it isn't because we don't exist, it's just because the Census Bureau thinks that we deserve privacy, because we have such unusual names...

# There are 1,416,953 people in the U.S. with the first name Jennifer.
# Statistically the 21st most popular first name.
# More than 99.9 percent of people with the first name Jennifer are female.

Apparently there are FOUR of exactly me (so I guess Three others).

There are: 1,672 of me with my maiden name. In fact, I met one in college. We had the same first, middle and last name. If I remember correctly, we were born in the same year.

Apparently there are 517 people in the USA with my last name, but hundreds of thousands with the same first name.
However, what I really came to ask is if you are practicing your dance steps tonight. According to Nate's post today, it looks like tomorrow will be the day for the Baptist Boogey to beat all Boogies!! Dance on, Preachers Lawrenson (all of you!)!! :) Rejoicing with you from Michigan tonight!
